Annabelle Cleeland MP
Member for Euroa
Annabelle Cleeland proudly calls regional Victoria her home, where she resides with her husband David and their two young children, Arthur and Quinn, on their farm near Seymour.
Prior to her career in politics, Annabelle had a successful journalistic career spanning over a decade. As a national agricultural journalist and editor for Fairfax Media and Stock & Land, she shared the stories of regional Australians and became the youngest person to hold this position.
In addition to her work commitments, Annabelle was an active and vocal volunteer in the region. She served as a community consultant for Kilmore Health and the region’s signature food and wine festival, Tastes of the Goulburn.
Having experienced firsthand the gap between city and country when it comes to accessing hospitals, education, transport, and support services, Annabelle is committed to addressing regional disadvantage. In 2019, while pregnant with her first child, she underwent an emergency caesarean due to the overcrowding and underfunding of the local hospital, which could not provide safe care for her and her baby.
Annabelle’s motivation as the Member for Euroa is to narrow the investment gap between Melbourne and regional Victoria and ensure that regional communities have access to the necessary support services.
